Antique Road Show: Congress Edition

I am deeply disappointed with the House of Representatives. I'm not surprised, but I'd hoped to see a little more fight in them.

Today the House of Representatives, agreed with the Senate to fully fund the Department of Homeland Security, including the Executive Fiat which our President passed in November by executive action. This creates a precedent for future Chief Executives and encourages the courts to see this as a tacit approval by Congress.

Our President was already showing signs of renewed boldness on this front. Mr. Josh Ernest explained to the press recently that the White House is exploring options the executive branch has for raising taxes. They will only be emboldened by Congress' lack of opposition.

Here is my suggestion to Congress: Dissolve yourself.

You're unnecessary and expensive. We have  a President who has been seizing legislative power and you have given tacit approval by your surrender. Now that we've united the legislative and executive powers fully under the President (This isn't new. See: Bureaucracy) you, Congress, are a useless appendage. Go away and save us the tax money we spend on your salaries, vacations, pensions, etc.

That is all.
